Each new member is worth one point, and any member you encourage to upgrade their membership or special investor level is worth one point.
Anyone that earns points will be entered for random quarterly prize drawings, and the person with the most points by June 30, 2024 will win the GRAND PRIZE, two roundtrips on any Southwest published flight, no blackout dates, valid for 1 year!
The Member Referral Program is a continuous campaign to grow the Chamber and build a strong and vibrant business community on Hawai`i Island. A larger membership strengthens the Chamber’s voice advocating on important issues, enhances member services, and provides more business connections.
How it works:
A member referral is defined as a new business or organization that joins as a direct result of a current member’s effort. New members must complete online application form, submit their dues online, in-person or by mail, and receive membership approval. Remind new members to include your name in the “Referred by” field on the application so you can be credited appropriately.
Member referrals will be tracked through a point system. Points will be awarded for every new member you bring in and there is no limit to the number of referrals you can make. Each member who brings in a new member will get one free ad$ in the Tuesday e-blast ($35 value) AND one ticket+ to attend any Business After Hours event during the 2023-2024 year ($20 value).
How to earn points:
- Refer a new member – 1 point per new member!
- Bring in a new special investor – 1 bonus point (2 points total)
- Convince a current member to upgrade to special investor* – 1 point
- Convert an individual member to a business member* – 1 point
- Bring in student members** from Hawai`i Community College or University of Hawai`i at Hilo – 0.5 point per student
