Economic Development Committee Meeting

February 10, 2022 @ 10:00 am 11:00 am HST

Zoom

Jacqui Hoover, Executive Director and COO of the Hawai‘i Island Economic Development Board will be on hand to share insight and understanding of the County of Hawaii Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) which is intended to serve as a blueprint for generating economic growth, diversification, job creation, and resiliency for Hawai‘i County as we plan our island’s future. The County of Hawai‘i CEDS is a locally-based, regionally-driven economic development planning process and document which involves input from diverse and large groups of Hawai‘i Island residents representing community leaders, public, private and the non-profit sectors. It also creates the space for our County to identify its strengths and weaknesses.

Committee members will learn how we can participate and help inform and shape our Hawaii Island CEDS.

This committee works to enhance the general business climate on Hawai`i Island and to support a stable and healthy economy. The committee organizes informative presentations to members which focus on issues that affect businesses.

Meetings: 2nd Thursday of the month at 10:00am via Zoom (Dates and times subject to change)
Chair: HICC Vice President Randy Kurohara, Community First
